The summer's over, the backpacks are loaded, and the bus is on its way! Nothing left to do now but take those "first day of school" pictures! Here are some tips for taking the best photos of your kids this year!
1. Avoid direct sunlight. Take your picture under your front porch, in the shade of a nearby tree, or in the shade of the school bus (if the driver will give you a minute!). Shade shouldn't be hard to find since your child's bus is probably picking them up at the crack of dawn anyway! 2.Switch up the angles. Take pictures of your kids from standing, kneeling, and maybe even get down low to capture that big yellow bus way up above their heads in the background! Just remember when taking pictures up, try not to shoot straight up the subject's nose! (Eew, boogies!)
3. Use what you've got. That brand new backpack is sure to impress! Try getting your child to turn around at an angle with their back facing you and then look over their shoulder at the camera! You can also show off those new shoes, the lunchbox, or the rad haircut by focusing on it in the photos.
4. Remember to have fun! The best way to get genuine smiles from your kids (especially this early in the morning) might be to have them say something silly ("say stinky monkey!"), give them a tickle, or get them to make a goofy face (following those goofy faces will be pure joy, so get ready to take the shot after the silly face)!Good luck with your back-to-school pictures and good luck, students!!!
